Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is processed on your device. The page only downloads its conversion libraries (PDF.js, docx and JSZip) from a public CDN.
Why does the Word file look different from my PDF?
PDFs store text at fixed positions, while Word flows text into paragraphs. This tool rebuilds paragraphs and headings from text positions and sizes, so complex layouts, columns and tables will not match exactly.
Can it convert scanned PDFs?
Not yet. Scanned PDFs contain images of text, not text, so there is nothing to extract without OCR.
What about password-protected PDFs?
They cannot be opened here. Remove the password in a PDF viewer and try again.
Are images and tables kept?
No. The Word file contains text only, with headings, indents, alignment and page breaks where detected.
